Contracts Manager

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to manage, negotiate, and oversee contract agreements, ensuring compliance with terms, resolving claims, and supporting project teams to mitigate commercial risks in large-scale projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Provide contract management support to the Project Manager and project teams (PMT).
• Lead the formation, negotiation, and execution of Enabling Agreements and Work Orders for project work.
• Coordinate and present Enabling Agreements proposals and oversee Work Order execution following approval.
• Break down and explain contracting terms to the project team for Enabling Agreements and Work Orders.
• Assess changes, claims, and delays under the terms of Enabling Agreements and Work Orders.
• Support the Project Manager with intercompany agreements and work executions.
• Assist in preparing strategies and plans to mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Liaise with insurance providers for event coverage across various policies (CAR, P&I, H&M, WC, PL, and IP).
• Assist the supply chain in preparing standards forms of contracts for subcontracting services goods, and materials.
• Manage claims, delays, and supply chain exposures, escalating issues to the client in coordination with the PMT.
• Maintain accurate records of all correspondence, change orders, commercial exposures, claims, amendments, and invoicing.
• Coordinate the input of Subject Matter Experts and PMT for change order proposals, amendments, and related documentation.
• Chair internal and external contractual meetings, keeping accurate records of discussions and decisions.
• Contribute to weekly and monthly internal and external project reporting.
• Identify and monitor risks and opportunities, reporting through the Risk Platform (DANTE).

• Degree or MBA in Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Contract Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• 5-10 years of experience in Contract, Commercial, or Project Management, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Strong written advocacy skills with experience in drafting and managing complex contracts.
• In-depth understanding of contract liabilities, indemnities, extensions of time, change orders, insurance regimes, and liquidated damages.
• Experience with corporate structures, including joint ventures, contract amendments, ovations, and assignments.
• Proven experience in negotiating outcomes and resolving claims.
• Post-award contract management experience in Lump Sum, Reimbursable, and Remeasurable pricing structures.
• Capable of preparing delay and extension of time claims.
• Knowledge and awareness of HSSE&Q Management Systems and Procedures.
• Proficient user of P6, SharePoint, MS Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic and forward-thinking mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of summarising complex contractual issues for senior management.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
