Profile Cost Controller
Are you experienced in managing costs for global projects, including currency analysis and intercompany dynamics?

We are looking for a Cost Controller to oversee project financials, manage cost forecasts, and provide strategic guidance to ensure accurate reporting and control on large-scale EPC projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Support and advise Project Execution and Engineering Teams in maintaining cost, forecasting, and financial control for projects.
- Attend project kick-off and monthly project team reviews.
- Approve major bid tabs, ensuring accurate currency impact reviews and cost allocation.
- Monitor project spending to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly spending analysis reports.
- Develop and implement forecast trend analysis for site costs.
- Maintain detailed change management records and track cost-related changes.
- Assist project teams in creating action plans to prevent cost and schedule overruns.
- Analyse and maintain reserve and contingency budgets.
- Use Level 4 deliverables to forecast man-hours with design teams accurately.
- Collaborate with the project team to produce detailed monthly cost forecasts and status reports.
- Review and align forecasts with Project Manager and Engineering Leadership Teams.
- Generate monthly and quarterly financial reporting slides for project performance reviews.
Requirements Cost Controller
- Minimum 10 years of project cost control experience, preferably within large EPC or Owner Organisations.
- Strong expertise in project cost control principles methodologies, and tools across all project phases.
- Experience with SAP and EcoSys is essential.
- Background in Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, or similar industries and projects.
- Skilled in managing cost control for global projects including foreign currency analysis, currency risk exposure assessment, and intercompany project dynamics.
- Understanding various project types, structures, and contracts (e.g., SOG, SOE, joint ventures, capital, cost-sharing).
- Core Competencies:
- Commercial and technical acumen.
- Proficiency in cost control, estimating, and quantity surveying.
- Working knowledge of project management, business development, and finance.
- Ability to deliver clear and accurate cost information, reports, and strategic guidance to stakeholders.
