Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to oversee and ensure the technical execution, quality, and procurement of electrical systems like switchgear, motors, transformers, and cable systems for industrial projects while collaborating with various engineering disciplines and suppliers.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Define, prepare budgets, calculate, and oversee the technical execution and material requisitioning of low- and medium-voltage systems, including switchgear, motors, cables, transformers, VSDs, UPSs, electrical tracing, lighting, grounding, and cable routing systems.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., instrumentation, process, piping, mechanical) and suppliers to gather necessary information.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards during daily activities and drive HSE performance throughout projects.
• Handle electrical engineering tasks for projects and proposals.
• Execute projects as Lead Electrical Engineer or assist other lead engineers as required.
• ]Review and follow up contracts.
• Incorporate lessons learned into project execution (quality Deviation Lists, Quality Improvement Points).
• Prepare the basis for electrical designs and ensure complete execution of electrical scope.
• Conduct "second pair of eyes" checks for quality assurance.
• Monitor and ensure project schedules and milestones are met.
• Inform project managers and department heads about delays or issues.
• Use and update the Quantity Tracker Program, informing relevant teams about progress.
• Verify the CAD 3D model for accuracy.
• Prepare technical documents, including area classifications, one-line diagrams, control diagrams, and consumer and cable lists.
• Develop specifications and data sheets for electrical components like motors, transformers, LV/HV switchgear, VSD systems, and UPS/DC systems.
• Prepare requisitions, and technical bid tabulations, and perform vendor point checks.
• Assist with inspections and provide site support during construction when requested by the construction department.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and project quality.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering.
• Senior role: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar function.
• General role: More than 3 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Extensive knowledge of low- and medium-voltage systems and related equipment.
• Strong technical and analytical skills for preparing budgets, technical documentation, and specifications.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and project management tools.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural work environment.
