We are looking for an Instrumentation Designer who can be responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of instrumentation and control systems for offshore projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Define the overall instrumentation design, including cable block diagrams and control panel locations, to guide the design team.
- Ensure the quality of design deliverables by adhering to company technical and engineering standards.
- Identify and manage project changes through proper procedures (MOC).
- Monitor and report on design progress, resolving any potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to designers, both locally and remotely, and verify the quality of their work.
- Visit remote design offices to provide guidance and training, as necessary.
- Manage the flow of information for the preparation of Cable Block Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Diagrams, Mounting Details, and other related deliverables.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of instrumentation design processes and guidelines.
- Oversee the integration of instruments and systems into the 3D model, participating in or delegating attendance at 3D model reviews.
- Ensure proper interface with either discipline (Electrical, Piping) and review vendor design data.
- Align the design with regulatory requirements, classification rules, and client needs.
- Provide support during the construction and commissioning phases at the yard.
- Mentor and coach junior designers.
Requirements Instrumentation Designer
- Vocational College or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 8 years of experience in instrumentation design within the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.
- Proficiency in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI); experience with 3D design in Aveva is an advantage.
- Experience in interfacing with complex mechanical packages such as gas turbine-driven compressors and power generations.
- Experience managing remote teams of 8+ designers.
- Knowledge of instrumentation for marine applications and experience in communication with shipyards is a plus.
- Competence in designing for hazardous areas (e.g., IECEx001).
- Proactive approach with problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- A team player with a focus on safety, ownership, and the ability to work across discipline boundaries.
