We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to take the lead in the electrical engineering scope within offshore wind infrastructure projects, including offshore substations, high-voltage export systems, and power distribution networks. In this role, you'll manage teams, ensure technical compliance, and drive high-quality engineering solutions that support the energy transition.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all electrical engineering activities within offshore wind projects.
- Develop and review HV, MV, and LV system designs, including single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, earthing, and lighting layouts.
- Prepare and validate technical specifications, calculations, and evaluations for equipment such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, and cables.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards (IEC, IEEE, DNV), and client specifications.
- Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support procurement, FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning meetings.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with project milestones.
Requirements Lead Electrical Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, including offshore wind or energy infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in leading engineering teams and managing multidisciplinary collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, grid connection interfaces, and offshore electrical infrastructure.
- Proficient with engineering tools such as ETAP, EPLAN, SmartPlant Electrical, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEC, DNV, NEN).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Dutch is a plus!
- Willingness to travel for project coordination, client meetings, or offshore support when required.
