We are looking for a Lead Structural Designer to oversee structural design efforts, manage a team of designers, and ensure high-quality deliverables for large-scale offshore and renewable energy projects?

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Structural Designers, ensuring project goals are met.
  • Allocate resources and manage workloads to optimise team performance.
  • Develop detailed structural designs for offshore platforms, substations, and other energy infrastructure.
  • Oversee the preparation of design deliverables, including 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and fabrication drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct reviews and approvals of design deliverables to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices and drive standardisation in structural design processes.
  • Support tendering and proposal development by providing design input and estimates.
  • Monitor project progress and address any technical challenges or changes.

Requirements Lead Structural Designer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Miknimum of 10 years of experience in structural design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in offshore, oil & gas, or renewable energy projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of offshore structural design standards and regulations.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and design coordination.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excedllent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Fluency in Eng\lish is required, proficiency in Dutch is a plus!
