We are looking for a Mechanical Equipment Engineer to oversee the selection, design, procurement, and integration of static and complex process equipment for offshore installations. You will ensure compliance with technical, safety, and operational requirements.

Task & responsibilities:
- Take technical responsibility for all aspects of process and marine equipment design, procurement, and manufacturing.
- Ensure equipment meets functional requirements and is compliant with internal and external standards.
- Prepare detailed specifications for static equipment and complex process packages (e.g., chemical injection, gas dehydration, water treatment, utility equipment).
- Develop designs for lifting and handling equipment, offshore pedestal cranes, cargo offloading systems, and mechanical handling across FPSO/Offshore units.
- Liaise with the purchasing department and perform technical evaluations of vendor offerings.
- Act as an intermediary between equipment suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Coordinate the integration of purchased equipment into the overall offshore installation.
- Review vendor drawings, calculations, and safety studies for accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with project teams and discipline engineers, ensuring smooth execution across multiple centers.
- Participate in safety studies and implement Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Perform final inspections of equipment to verify quality and readiness for deployment.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications while maintaining high standards of technical deliverables.
Requirements Mechanical Equipment Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Relevant experience as a project engineer, system engineer, or lead engineer at an equipment supplier is advantageous!
- Knowledge of static equipment, complex process packages, utility systems, and offshore mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with offshore pedestal cranes, cargo offloading systems, and mechanical handling systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, creative thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Team player with initiative and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Willingness to travel for project needs and vendor interactions.
- Adaptable to working across different project execution centers.
