We are looking for an Office HSSE Advisor to oversee compliance with the office's health, safety, security, and environmental regulations. This role involves providing support, training, and conducting risk assessments to ensure compliance with local legislation and company standards.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control all HSSE matters related to office members and contractors to ensure compliance with HSSE legislation and company guidelines.
  • Support Project HSSE Leads with safety case studies.
  • Implement, update, review, and audit the company's HSSE systems following corporate guidelines.
  • Monitor and update safety and environmental procedures in line with changes in legislation and company directives.
  • Conduct internal and external safety audits.
  • Provide technical support to senior Management on safety-related matters.
  • Liaise with clients on health and safety issues.
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings before procurement, installation, and construction activities.
  • Prepare health and safety documentation for new tenders.
  • formulate and implement office HSSE policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Train employees on health and safety procedures, specific workplace risks, and the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct regular office safety inspections, including checks on electrical equipment and work-at-height tools.
  • Manage and control the Office Emergency Response (ER) team, ensuring training complies with local government legislation.
  • Develop procedures for reporting incidents and accidents, and respond to employee safety complaints.
  • Oversee first aid procedures and training for employees.
  • Manage emergency procedures, such as fire drills.
  • Lead by example and foster a positive health and safety culture.

Requirements Office HSSE Advisor

  • Minimum diploma in Engineering, with a specialisation in QHSE or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant HSSE experience, including knowledge of the Dutch market and legislation.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Dutch.
  • Certification in NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Worker Welfare.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA 18001, ISM, ISPS Standards, and HSE management systems.
  • Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and national statuses and guidelines in the Netherlands.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
  • 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Offshore Construction, and Marine Industry.
