Profile Planning Engineer

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and equipped with a sharp analytical mindset? Can you create precise project schedules for large-scale offshore projects while ensuring seamless coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders?

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate planning activities, and ensure accurate progress reporting to support efficient execution of offshore and marine projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project planning activities for complex projects and work scopes.
  • Translate proposal schedules into detailed project schedules.
  • Initiate and manage onshore scope planning, coordinating input from various disciplines, foreign offices, and subcontractors.
  • Issue initial schedules internally for review and approval.
  • Develop high-profile project reports, including bar charts, histograms, S-curves, and Earned Value reports.
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and update forecasts.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, including project teams, management, and clients.
  • Synchronise project timings and durations with seasonal schedule planners.
  • Work closely with the Project Cost Controller to share project-related financial and scheduling information.
  • Develop project scenarios, offshore schedules, and mobilisation.
  • Set up and track CAPEX and R&M schedules, including port calls and docking activities.
  • Maintain and update the Daily Progress Report database system.
  • Support the development of an integrated resource planning system and Earned Value management reports.

Requirements Planning Engineer

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project planning, monitoring, and execution within an offshore/marine environment.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Understanding of project management structures, network planning, resource planning, and Earned Value management.
  • Results-driven, with a proven track record of successful project planning.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with a hands-on, proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in complex project environments.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
