Project Process Engineer

Are you an experienced Process Engineer familiar with renewable hydrotreatment or wastewater treatment? Can you manage project scope changes and support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities?

We are looking for a Project Process Engineer to deliver process engineering services for refinery projects. In this role, you will manage scope changes, assist with procurement and construction, and support junior team members while ensuring client and regulatory standards compliance.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Deliver process engineering services that meet client, regulatory, and budgetary requirements.
• Identify and report any changes to the project scope.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Provide support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including writing requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and preparing purchase orders.
• Contribute to studies and analyses, and recommend appropriate actions to improve project outcomes.
• Assist with preparing detailed designs, drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.
• Stay updated on the latest technical innovations and developments in process engineering.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members within the process engineering group.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
• Identify project issues, develop solutions, and seek assistance when necessary to address challenges.

• Experienced with renewable hydrotreatment (RHU), hydrotreated vegetable oil pre-treatment (PTU), or wastewater treatment (WWT).
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as AVEVA Engineering and SmartPlantPID.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing. Spanish is a bonus!
• At least 7 years of experience working as a process engineer with engineering contractor companies.
• Experience must include working on Define Phase refinery projects.
