Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for an opportunity to work on large-scale offshore energy projects?

We are looking for a skilled Senior Buyer to oversee the procurement of critical materials, equipment, and services. You will ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery to support high-profile projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials and equipment for large-scale offshore projects.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with project budgets and timelines.
- Identify and establish long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to optimise cost savings.
- Address and resolve issues to delivery, quality, or supplier performance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to understand procurement needs.
- Provide procurement input for tendering processes and assist with technical bid evaluations (TBE).
- Ensure timely availability of all materials and services required for project milestones.
- Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and industry developments to anticipate potential challenges.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, standards, and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
Requirements Senior Buyers
- Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in large-scale projects.
- Extensive experience in offshore, oil & gas, or renewable energy sectors is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing complex supplier negotiations and contracts.
- Proficiency in procurement software (SAP< Oracle, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and cost optimisation principles.
- Familiarity with offshore industry standards and regulations is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is a plus!
