We are looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to oversee tender activities and cost estimation for projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for projects.
- Analyse project specifications and requirements to create accurate cost predictions.
- Prepare and manage tender documents and submissions.
- Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor bids.
- Monitor and control project budgets to ensure alignment with cost estimates.
- Identify and address any budget discrepancies or overruns.
- Conduct risk assessments related to cost estimation and tender activities.
- Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure cost-related objectives are met.
- Analyse historical data and market trends to improve cost estimation accuracy.
- Maintain and update cost databases and records.
- Generate detailed cost reports and present findings to senior management.
- Provide regular updates on cost performance and potential savings opportunities.
- Ensure all cost estimation and tender activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Stay updated on relevant industry standards and best practices.
Requirements Senior Cost Engineer
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial), Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cost engineering, estimating, or a similar role.
- Proven experience with tender activities and managing large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in cost estimations and reporting.
