Can you lead complex offshore energy projects? Do you have experience in designing innovative and efficient marine systems that support the future of offshore production?

We are looking for a Senior Marine Engineer to design and oversee high-quality marine systems for floating production units, especially FPSOs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and adaptability to project needs.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Act as an independent Marine Engineer overseeing marine systems design on assigned projects.
  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective marine systems for FPSOs and potentially Floating LNG products.
  • Manage project workload, adapting to occasional high-demand phases within the discipline.
  • Provide project support in other global project offices or shipyards for short- or long-term assignments as needed.
  • Interface with related disciplines (Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety, Regulatory), to ensure cohesive system design.
  • Review and ensure compliance with standards from classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, BV, Lloyds).
  • Conduct and participate in review methods, such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, HP/LP Reports, and SIF Reports, to ensure design integrity and safety.
  • Balance technology advancements with commercial viability when selecting and evaluating equipment.

Requirements Senior Marine Engineer

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent certification) in Marine Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher Seafaring College, or General Operational Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design, ideally Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
  • Strong technical knowledge of both conceptual and detailed design for floating and production systems (e.g., FPSOs, FSOs, Oil & Gas Carriers).
  • Familiarity with marine systems technology, able to assess equipment suitability and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of interfaces with other disciplines like Naval, E&I, and Technical Safety.
  • Preferred experience with shipyards, marine equipment vendors, and LNG carrier engineering and operations.
  • Familiar with international standards, classification society rules, and Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies.
