Profile Senior Subcontracts Specialist

Do you have experience in Supply Chain Management and subcontracting? Can you lead complex procurement strategies for large-scale offshore wind projects?

We are looking for a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to manage the procurement and subcontracting processes for offshore wind projects. You will negotiate with suppliers, evaluate bids, and ensure the successful delivery of services and goods while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute SCM and subcontract plans, including large-scale dollar work packages.
  • Manage associated risk, opportunity, and workforce planning within the SCM process.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information for efficient and economical supplier engagement.
  • Define SCM strategies in coordination with internal teams and disciplines.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best deals on time.
  • Perform commercial analyses, evaluate, and normalise bids, and incorporate technical evaluations from departments such as Engineering, Planning, QHSE, and Contracts/Legal.
  • Participate in internal gate review meetings.
  • Finalise bid summaries and make recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier relationships, scheduling regular meetings to align expectations and business interests.
  • Initiate and participate in supplier performance evaluations and compile lessons learned reports.
  • Supervise the delivery of subcontracted services and goods in collaboration with internal teams and relevant disciplines.
  • Manage and negotiate Variation Orders and amendments with the Contracts/Legal team.
  • Oversee subcontract close-out processes, including obtaining necessary documentation from suppliers and as-built documentation when relevant.

Requirements Senior Subcontracts Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a technical, commercial, or legal discipline.
  • Experience in a project management role within the energy industry, with a strong focus on SCM and subcontract processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages is a plus!
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office and SAP, ideally with experience in Ariba.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to develop, motivate, and collaborate effectively with teams and individuals across the business.
