Structural Designer Topsides

Do you have a background in Mechanical, Offshore, or Naval Engineering? Can you develop concept-to-construction drawings for topside modules, flare towers, and full integrations?

We are looking for a Structural Designer for Topsides to develop detailed 3D models and construction drawings for offshore structures, such as FPSO topside modules, using E3D software. The role involves collaborating with engineers to ensure structural integrity and supporting projects through design reviews and material planning.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Use 3D modeling software (E3D) to create accurate and detailed design models for topside structures.
• Develop concept, basic, and detailed construction drawings for offshore topsides like FPSO modules, flare towers, and hull integrations.
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers to ensure that designs are structurally sound and meet project specifications.
• Prepare MTOs to support project planning and procurement.
• Participate in design reviews to optimise design quality and provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of design standards, procedures, and tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Continuously engage in professional development to stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in design technologies.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (e.g., Professional Certification) in Mechanical, Civil, Offshore, Naval, or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on structural design.
• Relevant experience in structural design, particularly for topside structures.
• Knowledge of classification society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyds).
• Preferably experienced in using 3D modeling software (e.g., E3D).
• Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Resilience in handling setbacks and maintaining focus on objectives.
• Adaptability to new technologies and sustainable industry developments.
