Medior/Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Medior/Senior Systems Engineer to design and manage electrical and IT systems for large offshore substations. In this role, you will support the energy transition through EPC projects and be involved in developing the company's systems engineering strategy.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement electrical and IT systems for offshore energy platforms.
• Support the design and construction of the largest offshore substation ever, taking on a senior role within the Systems Engineering (SE) team.
• Engineer solutions that ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Maintain and manage detailed documentation of systems designs, installation procedures, maintenance records, and modifications.
• Involve in various SE processes within projects, including Verification & Validation (V&V).
• Develop the SE strategy at the company level, contributing to the development of SE practices.
• Coordinate with the Infrastructure Project Management Team on large infrastructure projects.
• Promote the SE way of working within project teams, encouraging collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

• Higher Vocational/University level degree (HBO/WO) in Mechanical, Electrical, or IT Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in offshore environments.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in setting up, developing, and managing a requirements database (e.g., Relatics).
• Strong understanding of SE principles, energy efficiency, and safety standards.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing projects from conception to completion.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt solutions to unique offshore challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
