Lead Information Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Information Engineer to ensure that digital information systems in offshore projects are structured, optimised, and aligned with engineering needs, enabling teams to work smarter and more efficiently.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Ensure smart and structured information management across offshore engineering projects.
• Analyse client information management requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Set up and maintain tag management systems and digital project data structures.
• Prepare, integrate, and optimise project data into internal and external digital systems.
• Lead and support the Information Engineering team within the Information Management department.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to align data systems with project goals.
• Act as the point of contact for complex information management issues.
• Drive the professionalisation of information management, including tool implementation and system configuration.
• Ensure systems are technically sound, user-friendly, and fully support engineering and project workflows.
• Contribute to improving digital architecture and aligning it with industry standards and client demands.

• University-level degree (WO) in a technical field such as Structural, Electrical, Process Engineering, or Computer/Data Science.
• At least 7 years of experience in information management.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate across teams.
• Knowledge of EPC projects, offshore wind, BIM, and Python is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with ontologies, APIs, and industry models such as:
  • CFIHOS
  • IEC CIM
  • ISO 15926
• Structured working style with a solution-oriented mindset and collaborative approach.
